Thanks for visiting Robot Tourist!
Having graduated in 2006 from the University of Manchester, I guess I'm a bona fide software engineer. However, my real passion is for photography! It's through this that I try to get out explore the world we live in - not an 'arty' exploration, but in a wandering the streets or climbing over fences sense. Maybe a little of the former, but I wouldn't like to say!
It's my fundamental belief that artwork should be accessible. This means making it easily available, and this site is one way of showcasing my own favourite work or results I'm pleased with, without restriction.
It also means I believe it shouldn't cost the earth. You can purchase prints of most images here, and I hope you'll find the prices lower than you might have expected. The price is only a part of the issue, however - service and flexibility are equally vital. That's why requests and purchases are handled on an individual level - so that you can find exactly what you are looking for, tailored to your needs.
Who have you taken pictures for?
Recently I've worked on assignments for:
- University of Manchester Students' Union
- University of Manchester Mauritius Society
- The Lounge Group, London
I'm always interested to hear of new opportunities and will consider any potential assignments on an individual basis. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have anything in mind. What else are you up to these days?
I spend much more time than I'd like at work, presently at Siemens Communications in Beeston, Nottingham. Despite my moaning, I really quite enjoy it - more so than living round here, which despite being next door to a city and surrounded by countryside, doesn't seem to have much to offer in terms of photography. Even so, I suspect it's rather more my perogative to get out and find those chances!
I mainly spend my free time mountain biking around the distinctly mountain-free plains of Nottinghamshire. It's still a pleasure to get covered in mud across 30+ miles of trails each weekend though!

The title comes from a song by a strange outfit called Ten Benson, to which I have no connection other than a penchant for their stuff. If you're lucky, you can find it here! Perhaps it's also something about the nature of people who take pictures, including myself, but you can make that up yourselves... |
